Top mount

Among all mechanical keyboard mounting structures, Top mount has remained one of the tried and trusted mounting designs that many enthusiasts favour due to its consistent feeling and balance between relief and rigidity and now the KBD8X MKIII Keyboard comes with 9 mounting points.

Silicone Gasket

By adding 18 pcs silicone sockets where the plate is clamped, an element of cushioned dampening is added to this mounting style. This will provide a good balance between stiffness and crisp typing feel, and won’t feel as fatiguing when typing for long periods of time.

Based on the original foam kit, we added an extra piece of bottom foam to further reduce the gap at the bottom of the keyboard. Please place the foams to customize the sound according to your preference.
And different versions are used for solder and hot-swap PCB.

Protection

All keys are controlled by 16 shift registers and diodes are removed from the main PCB to effectively avoid circuit issues.
In addition, the main control chip is placed on the daughter board. If the chip fails,
only the daughter board needs to be replaced.

KBD8X MKIII Stainless Steel Weight Heat Coloring Service Description

Heat Coloring Characteristics:

• The heat coloring effect is randomly generated, and the resulting color cannot be specified or chosen.

• Please understand and accept this random nature before proceeding with the service.

• The final color variation will range up to a maximum of dark blue.

• (Note: Only the externally visible surfaces of the weight will be treated. Internal surfaces hidden during assembly will not be colored.)

Heat Coloring Temperature Reference (For illustrative purposes only, not a specific guarantee):

• 200-250°C: Pale Yellow (initial oxide film formation)

• 300-350°C: Golden Yellow to Brown

• 400-450°C: Purple to Dark Blue

• 500-550°C: Blue-Gray to Gray-Black (This thicker oxide layer may affect corrosion resistance, which is why we limit the process to a maximum of dark blue.)

Friendly reminder:

• The heat-colored weight is considered a customized product.

• Returns, exchanges, or refunds will not be accepted due to dissatisfaction with the resulting color.

• Other parts of the keyboard kit (e.g., PCB damage, key malfunction, case defects, etc.) are still covered by the standard after-sales support or replacement service.

• However, the entire kit cannot be returned or refunded solely because of the heat-colored weight.
